Slip cast from 3D printed and CNC milled forms

Research from the university of Oxford revealed that the more often people eat with others the more likely they are to feel happy and satisfied with their lives. Despite this the average adult in the UK eats 10 out of 21 weekly meals alone.

The dishes have been designed with the sensory experience in mind to bring people together to enjoy a meal. The stackable form of the design will encourage people to interact with the plates and each other, while the solid wooden base allows for easy movement of the set.

3D printing and a CNC milling were used to create the forms to fit perfectly together which were then used to create moulds to slip cast the set.
